Multiversant, May 25-Jun 15

Updated: May 28, 2019

I hope you'll have the opportunity to check out Multiversant, a group exhibit by exquisite artists, all alumni of New York Foundation for the Arts’ (NYFA) 2018 Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program, in Visual & Multidisciplinary Arts. Since the beginning of the year, it has been an honor to be part of this group of exquisite talent and mentoring. I am immensely proud of what the group of my peers has put together and I am happy to invite you to see the outcome of this collaboration. Call Elsewhere is my contribution to this showing.

Multiversant is an exhibition featuring the works of 22 artists from 15 countries and four continents that met through the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) 2018 Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program: Visual & Multidisciplinary Arts. The works presented include a wide range of media - painting, installation, performance, video and others - and navigate the artists’ diverse and complex relationships with place and history. Addressing themes varying from science, culture, desire, politics, and memory, the exhibition both confronts and celebrates the underlying intersectionalities presented through their work.
